The Wellcraft 45 Excalibur is a luxury express cruiser built with a deep-V fiberglass hull designed for a smooth, dry ride. Twin big-block gasoline engines deliver 850 horsepower total, with the starboard motor recently fitted with new heads. Both engines have had their manifolds, risers, and drives replaced. The boat cruises comfortably in the low 30s and reaches speeds in the low 40s. At 650 hours, the engines are relatively low-run.
The cockpit centers on an elevated helm and opens to a U-shaped sun pad and lounge area. A full wet bar, radar arch, and forward sun pad enhance the entertaining space. Below deck, the mid-cabin layout includes a master stateroom with queen berth, a separate mid-cabin with queen berth, and a head with separate shower stall. The galley and salon are separate, and privacy doors throughout provide distinct living areas. A full-size refrigerator and stereo system are aboard.
The boat has received substantial recent work. New batteries were installed last year, along with a new GPS system. The transom assemblies, bilge pump, and throttle and trim tab cables have all been replaced. A new vacuum flush pump for the toilet system is in place. The canvas was reconditioned with new eyes, glass, and zippers. Interior carpeting and salon surfaces are new, as is a custom mattress for the master berth. The boat was serviced and properly winterized at the end of the last season. Additional equipment includes trim tabs, fresh and raw water washdowns, a concealed swim ladder, and transom door. Some models carry a Kohler generator for onboard power.
