A 2001 West Bay 58 RPH pilothouse yacht built from vacuum-infused fiberglass with a modified vee hull designed for smooth, stable performance in coastal waters. Twin CAT 3406E diesel engines produce 800 horsepower each, delivering a cruising speed of 18–20 knots and a maximum speed of 25 knots. The 58-foot beam of 17.08 feet provides a spacious platform, and the boat carries 1,000 gallons of fuel for extended range.
The interior features three cabins and two heads arranged around a full-beam master stateroom finished in American cherry wood. Common areas include a salon with expansive visibility, an airy galley, a dinette for six, and a generous flybridge with a cockpit larger than typical for this size. The pilothouse offers excellent sightlines and houses one of three helm stations on board. Hydraulic bow and stern thrusters allow single-operator handling, eliminating the need for crew.
The boat is equipped with dual generators—a 20kW and a 12kW unit—along with two Espar diesel furnaces for heat, air conditioning, and heating systems throughout. A Furuno electronics package supports navigation and systems monitoring. Onboard amenities include a stacked washer and dryer, swim platform with safety rails, a live crab tank, and a 65-gallon dinghy fuel station. A hydraulic and electric rotating davit (1,250 lb capacity) was rebuilt in 2025.
Recent work includes new AGM engine start batteries installed in 2026 and detailing for the 2026 cruising season. The boat is fitted with a Bimini top by Barrett Canvas and a Glendenning shore power cord system. With hydraulic stabilization and substantial displacement, the design suits extended passages along the Inside Passage and coastal cruising.
