This 2001 West Bay Sonship 58 Pilothouse is a three-cabin, two-head motor yacht built on a fiberglass hull and powered by twin Cat 8.7L diesel engines delivering 1,660 horsepower. The engines have been replaced and run just 300 hours. A comprehensive top-to-bottom refit included new Northern Lights gensets, fresh electronics, updated upholstery and canvas throughout, and a custom hardtop on the bridge deck.
The layout flows from the cockpit through an open-plan salon and dinette galley at helm level, with the pilothouse providing easy deck access via its doors. Three staterooms below comprise two with island queens and one with bunks. The bridge deck is expansive with generous seating, and a hypalon RIB tender is mounted on davits alongside a BBQ grill. Dual helm stations port and starboard in the cockpit, plus a lower helm in the pilothouse, all feature fly-by-wire controls and offer excellent visibility. A bow thruster aids maneuvering. Fifty-amp shore power is available with a Glendinning cablemaster.
The galley features Corian counters, a large refrigerator, and a propane cooktop. Espar diesel heating and reverse-cycle air conditioning serve the entire boat. Below-deck amenities include a washer and dryer integrated into a cupboard. The engine room is accessible from all sides and includes camera monitoring. Electronics include new Furuno autopilot, Garmin GPS with integrated fish finder and radar.
