2002 Albemarle 280 Express Fisherman
About This Yacht
The 2002 Albemarle 280 Express Fisherman is a 27-foot sportfish with twin Volvo-Penta diesel engines rated at 600 horsepower combined. Built on a deep-V fiberglass hull, it reaches speeds of 26 knots and cruises at 17 knots, making it capable of long offshore trips. The boat features a clean fiberglass finish with molded-in non-skid surfaces and low-maintenance trim throughout.
The cockpit is designed for fishing, with rod storage, tackle centers, outriggers, a livewell, fish boxes, and a transom door for landing game. Navigation and fish-finding equipment includes a Garmin 741XS GPS chartplotter and VHF radio. The enclosed head, galley with microwave and refrigerator, and V-berth cabin provide comfort for overnight and extended trips. A Cruisair 7,000 BTU reverse-cycle air conditioning unit is installed.
Recent engine work has been completed: new risers and manifolds were installed on both the port and starboard engines in 2025, and a new fuel pump was fitted to the port engine in 2025.
