The 2002 Bayliner 3488 is a 35-foot fiberglass cruiser built using Bayliner's modular production system, which assembled separate engine room, forward stateroom, and salon modules for improved structural integrity and precision fit. Powered by twin 250 hp Cummins diesel engines, the boat cruises at 18 knots and reaches a top speed of 22–23 knots.
The layout centers on a mid-cabin floorplan with two staterooms, each fitted with a double berth. The salon features a spacious galley to starboard with generous counter and storage space, teak and holly sole, and Corian countertops. A single head includes a stall shower. A transom door provides convenient access to the water, and molded steps lead to the large flybridge, which benefits from an extended hardtop overhang that shades the small cockpit below.
The boat includes two air conditioning units, a new hot water heater, a fully equipped galley with convection oven and cooktop stove, refrigerator and cooler, and an integral swim platform. Additional features are a new Bimini top and custom furnishings throughout.
