2002 Cabo 35 Express

The 2002 Cabo 35 Express is a respected sportfishing platform built on a deep-V fiberglass hull designed for smooth performance in challenging conditions. Twin Caterpillar 3126B diesel engines produce 450 horsepower each and have accumulated 3,700 hours; the boat cruises at 23 knots. A factory hardtop and tower with outriggers provide excellent visibility and fishing capability, while the cockpit features a large bait prep station, tackle storage, twin in-deck fish boxes, and a transom livewell. Trim tabs are fitted for optimal handling.

Below deck, the accommodation is surprisingly spacious, with a forward V-berth, convertible dinette with teak table, galley equipped with cooktop, microwave, and refrigerator, and a full head with shower. A 5kW Westerbeke generator, air conditioning, and hot water heater support comfort underway. Helm electronics include Furuno NavNet 3D and radar, Simrad autopilot, VHF, and ACR spotlight. A refrigerated drink box sits in the cockpit.

Recent maintenance and upgrades reflect ongoing care: new batteries and fresh water system in 2024, new ice maker in the helm area, heat exchanger and aftercooler cores replaced, engine lift rams replaced in March 2025, exhaust risers renewed in 2023, bottom paint applied in 2024, bilge pumps replaced in 2025, and an oil change system installed. A full service was completed in June 2025 at 3,579 hours. The VacuFlush head has been rebuilt.
