2002 Campion 622 Explorer

The 2002 Campion 622 Explorer is a 23-foot cuddy cabin built for serious fishing. The boat accommodates two in the v-berth, with an extension creating a 50-inch bunk suitable for a child. A sunroof provides natural light and air flow. The head is a Thetford marine porta john.

Power comes from a Volvo-Penta 4.3GL marine engine with Volvo-Penta sterndrive, recently serviced with an oil change and new filters. A 2002 Yamaha high-thrust four-stroke 8 HP kicker provides auxiliary power. Lenco Marine electric trim tabs assist handling.

The boat is outfitted for fishing with two Scotty Depthpower electric downriggers equipped with 10 lb cannonball weights, six rod holder positions, and rocket-style holders for additional rods. Navigation and fish-finding electronics include a Garmin EchoMap 94sv plotter with GT51M-TM transducer and a Lowrance Hook7 fish finder. Communication is managed by an Oceanus marine radio with a Shakespeare 4-foot whip antenna. A TR-1 Gold inertial navigation system is also aboard. Deck equipment includes a 14 lb galvanized fluke-style anchor with 100 feet of rope, fishing net holders on both sides, a telescoping boat hook, and deck and bow lines.

A 2002 Road Runner tandem trailer with electric Dexter brakes, new springs, and a spare tire is included. The trailer features integral steps and guides for safe launching and retrieval.
