The Contest 55 CS is a 55-foot composite cruising yacht designed by Doug Peterson and built by the Dutch shipyard Conyplex. Her construction combines a solid composite sandwich hull with refined proportions and an efficient deck layout suited to short-handed sailing. The protected cockpit and well-designed rig support safe offshore navigation and handling.
Below deck, the interior features warm wood finishes throughout. The saloon is spacious and naturally lit, with a comfortable dining area and generous seating. The galley is fully equipped for extended cruising. Three cabins accommodate guests: a forward owner's cabin and two guest cabins, each offering privacy and comfort for long passages.
The yacht is fitted with a furling rig, hydraulic systems, and a complete sail wardrobe including an asymmetrical spinnaker. Navigation systems, air conditioning, a watermaker, solar panels, and a hydro generator form the technical complement. A single Perkins engine provides auxiliary power. The three heads serve the accommodations.
The yacht was extensively refitted in 2025 and is maintained to a high standard.
