2002 Custom Carlson Marine Trawler

A 42-foot aluminum trawler built by Carlson Marine in 2002 and extensively reimagined in 2005. Originally a commercial crabber, the boat was redesigned for family cruising, merging the durability of its working-vessel heritage with accommodation and finish typical of a cruising yacht. The interior combines mahogany cabinetry, glass tile, granite countertops, and antique bronze fixtures throughout.

Power comes from a single 400-horsepower Cummins diesel engine, delivering a cruising speed of 8 knots and a maximum speed of 11 knots. A Northern Lights 8-kilowatt generator provides shore-independent power. Navigation and communication equipment includes a Standard Horizon chartplotter, Furuno radar, and ComNav AIS.

The layout centers on a well-appointed galley with stainless steel appliances and flows into multiple social spaces. Sleeping quarters comprise a V-berth stateroom and two bunkrooms, with one head. The trawler includes a hot tub, ample gear storage, and a flybridge helm station suited for extended family and group voyages.
