This 2002 Hinckley Talaria 29C is a composite center console built around classic design and modern systems. The hull features DualGuard composite construction with Kevlar and carbon fiber reinforcement, finished in Flag Blue Awlgrip topsides with a light cream gelcoat deck. A single 440-horsepower Yammer diesel engine powers the boat through a Hamilton Jet Drive, controlled via Hinckley's integrated JetStick system that manages steering, forward and aft motion, and bow thruster operation as one unit.
The deck showcases solid teak throughout the cockpit with wrap-around forward seating for five and an aft settee that faces forward. A removable and collapsible platform converts the forward seating area into a sun lounge. The steering console includes cushioned seating for two, with an insulated cooler beneath. Below the forward seating are three additional storage lockers. An electric-lift engine box provides access to the freshwater sink and built-in cooler. A fiberglass T-top with aluminum frame spans the cockpit, mounted with LED lighting, an air horn, and a spotlight with remote control.
Navigation and helm equipment includes a 2024 Garmin 8616 16-inch chartplotter with integrated 18-inch Fantom Dome digital radar, a Raymarine autopilot, and a new Icom VHF radio. The helm station features a varnished teak dash refinished with twelve coats of varnish, a 14-inch stainless steel wheel with wood rim, and Morris single-lever throttle and clutch control. The helm seat is a double unit with a new roll cushion and can flip to form a leaning post. A private head compartment is accessed from the console, outfitted with a Vacu-flush toilet, teak and holly sole, and an opening port.
The battery system comprises 420 amp-hours of Lifeline AGM batteries, with an 80-amp alternator and multi-stage charger. Fuel tankage totals 100 gallons across two tanks, with a 20-gallon water supply and 10-gallon holding tank. A Muir electric windlass, trim tabs, twin bilge pumps with float switches, and a Halon fire suppression system with automatic engine shutdown complete the mechanical package. The teak throughout has been recently refinished, trim tabs are new with no bottom paint, and new console protection with poly-carbonate and Stamoid enclosure was recently installed.
