2002 Hunter 466

This 2002 Hunter 466 is a 46-foot cruising sailboat built with a fiberglass hull and powered by a Yanmar 4JH3-TE diesel engine. The boat offers serious cruising capability combined with comfortable accommodation, featuring a stable design suited to extended passages and long-term living aboard.

The interior includes three staterooms and two heads with separate shower stalls. The main cabin has leatherette upholstery in excellent condition, and both the master and forward cabins have been fitted with new memory foam mattresses. A galley with Force 10 propane stove, Adler Barbour refrigeration, Katadyn water maker, and microwave supports extended cruising. The forward head has a separate shower stall with new teak strips, while the aft head includes a rebuilt Vacuflush toilet. Climate control comes from a 16,000 and 12,000 BTU marine air conditioning system.

On deck, the boat features wide side decks, spacious cockpit with new cushions, and a walk-through transom with boarding ladder. The cockpit includes a fresh water outdoor shower, Lewmar folding helm wheel, and rail-mounted stainless BBQ. Recent updates include new isinglass panels in the dodger with new zippers, new cockpit cushions, and custom synthetic teak on the swim platform and cockpit coaming. Five Lewmar winches service the sail plan, which comprises a main, genoa, Code 0, and asymmetrical spinnaker (all approximately 12 years old and in very good condition) with Selden in-mast furler and ProFurl roller furling systems. Ground tackle includes a Simpson Lawrence 1500 windlass, new Rocna Vulcan 33kg anchor, secondary Fortress anchor, and substantial chain and rode.

The engine has 2800 hours and received major work in 2025: new heat exchanger, turbo, mixing elbow, high-output alternator, water pump, and impeller. Additional mechanical upgrades include new thru-hulls and seacocks throughout (2025), a bowthruster, and Flexofold folding propeller. Power comes from two Lifeline AGM house batteries, an Odyssey start battery, 310-watt solar panels, Freedom 20 inverter-charger, and a Northern Lights 6kW genset. Electronics include Raymarine MFD C120 with ST 7001 autopilot, Standard Horizon VHF with GPS and AIS, and EM-Trak AIS transceiver. A Winslow 6-person offshore life raft and Ocean Signal E100 EPIRB provide safety equipment, both recertified in 2025.
