2002 President Aft Cabin Trawler

This 42-foot President aft cabin trawler is a fiberglass twin-diesel design built in 2002. The boat is powered by two Cummins 6BTA5.9M engines producing 315 horsepower each, supported by an 8-kilowatt Northern Lights diesel generator. Recent service work includes a Cummins 1000-hour engine service completed in 2025, annual engine and generator maintenance in April 2026, and a fresh bottom paint application in February 2026. A Freedom Lift tender system with remote operation and a 2025 Highfield C290 dinghy with 3HP ePropulsion outboard are included.

The accommodation layout centers on a spacious salon with an L-shaped settee, drop-leaf burl table, and lower helm station outfitted with Garmin electronics including a 5208 chartplotter, GHC 10 autopilot, radar, and AIS transceiver. The galley features a Kenyon cooktop, Norcold refrigerator-freezer, and microwave. Forward and aft staterooms each hold a marine queen berth with ensuite heads featuring VacuFlush toilets and shower stalls. The interior uses cherry, burl, and teak throughout. A flybridge sits above with centerline helm, bimini top, wet bar, and duplicate navigation and control systems.

Climate control is managed by three Cruiseair marine air conditioning units providing 12,000 BTU to each stateroom and 16,000 BTU to the salon. A Vetus 6HP bow thruster with recent battery replacement supports maneuvering. The hinged aluminum mast accommodates height restrictions for the Loop. Twin Morse lever controls are present at both lower and flybridge helms, and a Maxwell windlass with capstan anchors the ground tackle.

The deck includes welded stainless handrails with boarding gates, non-skid Awlgrip painted surfaces, and a varnished teak toe rail. A fiberglass swim platform and aft bench seat with storage complete the layout. The hull shows evidence of careful maintenance, with the mechanical systems serviced regularly and documented through owner logs.
