2002 Pursuit 3800 Express

The 2002 Pursuit 3800 Express is a substantial offshore sportfish built on a solid fiberglass modified-V hull with a 14-foot beam, designed for stable performance in varying sea conditions. Twin Volvo Penta diesel inboards deliver 960 horsepower, capable of cruising in the mid-20-knot range with top speeds exceeding 30 knots. The boat combines serious offshore capability with a well-appointed interior, making it suited for both fishing and extended cruising.

The expansive cockpit is configured for serious fishing work, featuring a 50-gallon livewell, bait prep center, cockpit freezer, in-deck storage, and rod storage racks. A foldaway transom seat and space for a fighting chair round out the fishing layout. The helm area includes a double seat with an L-shaped settee opposite, and the entire helm deck raises electrically for engine access. A tower provides additional vantage and equipment mounting.

Below deck, the teak-trimmed cabin accommodates up to six, with a forward queen berth, convertible L-shaped dinette, aft quarter berth, and a head with separate shower. Rod storage is built into the companionway locker.

Extensive recent work has been completed: new AGM batteries, Garmin displays with updated network cabling, new Ritchie compass, LED lighting throughout, new underwater lights, new microwave, new galley faucet, new carbon monoxide and smoke detectors, new salon seating, and a new 50-amp shore power cord. Engine systems received attention including rebuilt fuel injectors, serviced intercoolers and aftercoolers, new oil pressure sending units, and serviced dripless shaft system. New hoses and clamps installed throughout, and all seacocks serviced. Fresh bottom paint, paint and fiberglass repairs including soft spot corrections, new stainless steel hatch struts, and new custom flybridge and helm covers complete the recent updates.
