2002 Sunseeker Superhawk 50

The 2002 Sunseeker Superhawk 50 is a triple-engine sportboat built around speed and reliability. Powered by three Yanmar 6LYA-STP diesel engines producing 420 horsepower each, the boat runs Trimax surface drives and twin-speed ZF gearboxes that deliver a maximum speed of 48 knots and a cruising speed of 40 knots. With approximately 1,670 engine hours logged, the engines have been bench-tested and refurbished during a comprehensive overhaul. The hull carries a fresh blue paint job, and the boat rides steady thanks to a SeaKeeper SK3 DC gyro stabilizer. Fuel capacity of 1,400 liters supports a cruising range of up to 300 miles at 32 knots on approximately 5 liters per mile.

The interior follows a single-cabin layout suited to day cruising and coastal runs. The forecabin houses a large permanent double berth with storage underneath, reading lights, and opening portholes. A dedicated head compartment with shower, avonite counter, and washbasin sits easily accessible from the saloon. The saloon features a dinette with curved seating, two comfortable chairs flanking a TV, and overhead storage. The galley offers a two-burner ceramic hob, moulded sink with pull-up tap, fridge, and custom storage for drinks and crockery.

A full mechanical refit completed between 2017 and 2018 addressed all major systems and components. The generator, fuel filtration, hydraulic steering, trim tabs, and bilge systems were all replaced or refurbished. Trimax shafts and high-speed stainless rudders and props received full attention. A new Slipner bow thruster was installed in 2019. Fresh sections of teak decking and new air conditioning round out the update. The boat carries standard safety equipment including FM-200 auto-extinguish in the engine room and hand-held extinguishers throughout.
