The Eagle 53 is a 59-foot fiberglass pilothouse trawler built in 2002 by Transpacific Marine. Twin Cummins 450-horsepower diesel engines power the boat, offering a semi-displacement hull that performs equally well at displacement cruising speeds of 8–10 knots or pushed onto plane at 16–18 knots, with a top speed near 21 knots. The boat carries approximately 2,170 engine hours and benefits from recent mechanical updates including a rebuilt Kabola hydronic heating system with new burner, fresh water purification system, replaced engine alternators, and a rebuilt Lewmar windlass.
The interior features warm handcrafted teak throughout, with satin-finished teak joinery, classic teak and holly soles in the salon and galley, and a two-stateroom, two-head layout. The master stateroom aft and forward VIP stateroom both have island queen berths with ensuite heads and stall showers. The main salon centers on an L-shaped settee with custom hi-lo teak table, while the galley to port includes granite countertops and full-size appliances.
Navigation and helm stations are distributed across three locations: an enclosed elevated pilothouse with 360-degree visibility and upgraded Furuno electronics integrated with TimeZero, a flybridge with second helm station and bimini top, and a cockpit control station for maneuvering. The boat also carries a Northern Lights 8kW generator, water maker, bow thruster, and Wi-Fi booster. Additional equipment includes a 2019 Mercury RIB tender with 2014 Yamaha outboard. The hull received an antifouling bottom job with Shark Skin paint in 2022.
