2002 True North 38

This 38-foot True North downeast boat was completely refit and modernized between 2023 and 2024. The original single diesel engine was replaced with twin Mercury V8 Verado 300-horsepower four-stroke outboards, backed by warranties through May 2027. The structural transom was rebuilt to accommodate the new engines with a custom Porta articulating bracket offering 19 inches of vertical travel. The fuel system was redesigned with upgraded capacity totaling 300 gallons across three tanks, and a 50-gallon diesel tank was fabricated with generator infrastructure pre-installed. The hull received a complete exterior refinish in ALEXSEAL premium yacht paint, with the bottom treated with an Interlux Interprotect system.

The pilothouse and salon feature new Marine Mat synthetic flooring and completely renewed headliners and cushioning throughout. A new 16K Marine Aire air conditioning system serves the cuddy cabin and salon areas. The galley includes a new induction cooktop, microwave, and refrigerator-freezer. Navigation and entertainment systems consist of two 10-inch Garmin multifunction displays installed in 2024, a new radar, a thru-hull multi-range transducer, updated VHF radio, and a Fusion JL Marine multi-zone audio system with subwoofer. All wiring—AC and DC—was completely replaced with a new distribution panel, seven new batteries, and four high-capacity bilge pumps throughout.

The cockpit features custom fabricated livewells and shrimp wells fully plumbed and integrated, with fresh and saltwater washdown systems and a hot-and-cold freshwater shower. A new automatic Muir Capstan windlass and 300 feet of galvanized chain were installed. Below deck, the head received a Raritan top-of-the-line electric macerating toilet with new shower sump infrastructure. All plumbing, faucets, and fixtures throughout were replaced and updated. A new dual-propeller Sleipner bow thruster was added, and all thru-hull fittings and valves were replaced with new systems.
