The 2003 Bayliner 285 is a single-engine cruiser built on a wide beam, offering the spacious feel typical of much larger boats through thoughtful design. At 28.5 feet with a 9.83-foot beam, this fiberglass boat is powered by a 300-horsepower MerCruiser gasoline engine.
The boat has undergone substantial mechanical and systems work. A new water pump, cooling and heating system, and bilge pumps were installed. The electrical system received new end-to-end wiring with a built-in inverter and additional power outlets. New batteries were fitted, and the trim controls were replaced. A ski hook was added for towing activities.
Interior and exterior updates include new carpeting throughout the cabin replaced with waterproof Aqua Marine Deck flooring, which was also applied to exterior spaces. A cabin television was added, and the back bench was repaired. The sound system is new with updated speakers. The Bimini was repaired, and a broken MPH gauge was fixed. The boat was recently cleaned and detailed inside and out.
