The 2003 Catalina 310 is a 31-foot fiberglass sloop designed for accessible sailing. Built on a shoal-draft hull that draws just 4'10", the boat handles easily short-handed and offers a safe, open cockpit with an extended seating area and rounded edges for comfort. A walk-through transom with swim platform and nonskid decking complete the exterior.
Below deck, the yacht has two cabins and one head. The forward cabin features a centerline queen berth, while the salon benefits from opening windows that create an airy feeling throughout. The comfortable cockpit includes rod holders and transom pulpit seats with padded backrests. A Universal diesel engine of 26 horsepower provides auxiliary power, cruising at around 6 knots.
Recent upgrades include new sails with furling main and jib, an electric windlass, new cabin and cockpit cushions, and a memory foam mattress in the forward berth. A Raymarine GPS and autopilot system installed in 2022–2023, along with a stereo system, support navigation and convenience. The battery bank was replaced in 2025, and solar panels with a charge controller were added in 2024. A heavy-duty main sheet traveler with port and starboard trim and a rigged vang support modern sail handling.
