The Fantasi 44 Pilot House is a 45-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat designed by Gabriel Heyman and built in Sweden. She features a distinctive pilothouse design that provides all-around visibility and weather protection, with a lower helm position that allows the boat to be operated safely from below decks in rough conditions. The hull is characterized by a low freeboard and a long fin keel with a pronounced lead bulb positioned well below the waterline, delivering the stiffness and power of a blue-water cruiser despite moderate displacement and a slender, easily-driven hull shape.
Below decks, the yacht offers a refined teak interior with two cabins and two heads arranged for comfortable cruising. The layout includes a spacious upper saloon, lower dinette, and well-equipped galley, with generous locker and storage spaces throughout. A work area with stainless steel surface and a clothes washer support extended time aboard, while self-contained water-cooled refrigeration and freezer units provide reliable preservation. The watermaker, currently pickled, is installed for fresh water production when needed.
Power comes from a single Yanmar diesel engine producing 75 horsepower, with 2,148 engine hours on the clock. The boat carries a 93-gallon fuel tank and a 200-liter fresh water tank. A generator with 1,005 hours supports onboard systems. Recent work includes bottom refinishing completed in 2022 and navigation system upgrades from 2019. A carbon fiber mast and a new dodger added in 2024 complement the rigging. The boat is equipped with a smart transformer for worldwide operation, and the wiring is factory-prepared for bow thruster and solar panel installations if desired. Air conditioning and heating provide year-round comfort.
