The 54 Eastbay SX is a fiberglass motor yacht built by Grand Banks to the downeast express design by Raymond Hunt & Associates. Powered by twin Caterpillar 800 hp diesel engines, she cruises at 26 knots and reaches 32 knots at full throttle. Her deep-V hull, low center of gravity, and walk-around deck design provide stable, comfortable performance across varying sea conditions. Wide side decks allow easy fore and aft access.
The Sedan Express layout features a single-level living plan with an open salon and 360-degree views that connect to the cockpit via sliding door. Below deck are two staterooms finished in teak joinery, a fully equipped galley, and handcrafted details throughout. The boat includes a 12-foot Gala rigid inflatable tender with 40 hp Suzuki outboard and tender lift, plus kayak chocks on the foredeck.
Navigation and electronics are comprehensive: a Garmin 22-inch touch screen helm station with suite autopilot, radar, plotter, and AIS display; two additional Garmin readouts; an ICOM MC-510 radio with AIS; Garmin GPS MAP OX 733; and Garmin fuel and water gauges. Engine hour meters show 1550 hours.
Recent upgrades span a complete bottom repainting with three-layer epoxy barrier coat, new Dometic marine toilets, Webasto diesel furnace, engine block heaters, and Fireboy fire suppression. The electrical system was rewired in 2024 and includes a Victron 24v inverter/charger, SmartSolar controllers, and 12 sealed AGM batteries totaling 1,344 amp-hours. New canvas covers, bow thruster with remote, air conditioning with heat pump, washer/dryer, and digital thermostats round out the specification.
