The 2003 Hinckley Talaria 29R is a composite-built runabout powered by a Yanmar 6LY2A-STP diesel engine paired with a Hamilton 292 jet drive, delivering 440 horsepower. The boat reaches speeds of 32 knots and cruises at 26 knots, with a joystick control system integrating helm motion, lateral thrust, and bow thruster. Key operational features include trim tabs, a 5-inch bow thruster, and a self-draining forward anchor locker.
Recent work completed in 2024 included a comprehensive jet service package addressing the Yanmar engine and Hamilton jet assembly, with a new cutlass bearing, refurbished impeller, replacement wear ring and insulator, and resealed transom assembly. The trim tab pump and actuators were replaced. New engine gauges and switches were installed, along with a Garmin touchscreen chartplotter, VHF radio, and Fusion stereo. Cosmetic updates included fresh Flag Blue Awlgrip, new Arrigoni helm seats on custom pedestals, new cockpit cushions in navy Sunbrella, a custom bimini top with side enclosures, and a custom boarding ladder. All cupholders were upgraded to stainless steel.
The cabin offers 4 feet of headroom and sleeps two with a navy Sunbrella V-berth featuring a stowable insert. A vacu-flush toilet is plumbed to a 10-gallon holding tank. Deck features include a heavy-duty fiberglass swim platform with teak inserts, a molded nonskid pattern, and stainless steel hardware. The cockpit provides a top-opening sink with pressurized freshwater, an insulated cooler, and multiple storage lockers. The hull uses Hinckley's DualGuard composite construction with Kevlar, E-glass, and carbon fiber. A 2005 Boatmaster aluminum trailer with tandem axles is included.
