2003 Hinckley Talaria 29R

The 2003 Hinckley Talaria 29R is a shallow-draft, ocean-capable runabout powered by a Yanmar 6LY2A-STP 440-horsepower diesel engine with Hamilton jet drive. Built with advanced composite construction—Kevlar and E-glass skin with balsa and Corecell core—the hull is finished in Flag Blue Awlgrip topsides with a cream gelcoat deck. The boat features a 2017 Hinckley Gen3 IQAN JetStick control system that integrates steering, forward and aft motion, and bow thruster into a single joystick. Teak details throughout the boat include the cockpit sole, toe rail, dash, and cabin trim.

The cockpit accommodates up to ten people and is arranged for easy cruising and entertaining. Forward is the helm station with a 15-inch Nardi steering wheel and full instrumentation, flanked by passenger seating with a glove box and storage. Amidships is an L-shaped lounge with cushioned settee and a custom varnished teak table. The teak-covered engine box houses a pressurized fresh water sink and insulated cooler accessible to both forward and aft seating areas. The transom features a full-width cushioned settee with storage lockers. A curved windshield with tempered glass, bimini, and full cockpit cover protect the space. Helm electronics include a Raymarine Axiom Pro GPS chartplotter, Standard Horizon Eclipse VHF, and Ritchie compass.

The forward cuddy cabin sleeps two in a V-berth with filler cushion and provides a Vacu-flush head plumbed to a 10-gallon holding tank. The cabin is finished in cherry veneer with white acoustic overhead and includes an opening hatch for ventilation, storage beneath the berth, and Bluetooth stereo. A 420-amp-hour 12-volt electrical system powers the boat, with battery charger and dual alternator. Ground tackle includes a Muir electric windlass with Delta anchor, 15 feet of stainless chain, and 150 feet of rode on a folding roller.

The boat was recently updated with new cushions and bimini in 2024, as well as a new full cockpit cover and recovered helm and passenger swivel chairs. The engine box is lead-lined and insulated for sound reduction. Bilge capacity includes two electric 1500-gph pumps with float switches and a manual emergency pump. Hamilton jet drive includes a backup bucket control; the Twin Disc ZF transmission and 12-volt bow thruster round out the propulsion system.
