2003 Island Packet 380

The Island Packet 380 is a 39-foot fiberglass cruising sailboat built for extended passages. She carries a single 56-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine and is rigged with a full complement of sails including main, staysail, and genoa from Mack Sails (2017), plus an unused asymmetric spinnaker. The standing rigging was replaced in 2019, and all running rigging has been renewed as of 2024–2025. Her deck hardware includes multiple Lewmar winches distributed across the cockpit, coach roof, and mast, along with Harken furlers and a staysail boom.

Below deck, the yacht sleeps six across two cabins: a forward owner's cabin with centerline queen berth and private head access, and an aft cabin with athwartships double berth. The layout includes a spacious main salon with opposing settees, a separate shower compartment with folding doors, and a U-shaped galley to starboard of the companionway. Teak is used throughout, and headroom reaches 6'4" with extensive locker and stowage space.

Her electrical system centers on four AGM house batteries installed in 2019, supplemented by 620 watts of solar and a 400-watt wind generator. A Xantrex charger and ProWatt inverter support auxiliary power, while air and heat conditioning covers the salon and aft stateroom. Navigation equipment is Raymarine throughout—Axiom Pro 12 chartplotter, RAM autopilot, Quantum radar, AIS, and VHF with remote microphone at the helm. A new bow thruster was installed in 2024.

Ground tackle consists of a 55-pound Mantis anchor with 275 feet of G4 chain, electric Lewmar windlass with foot controls and cockpit remote, and anchor washing system. Safety gear includes a four-person Viking life raft certified through November 2027, LifeSling, and lifelines installed in 2020. A full Sunbrella enclosure and new dodger (2026) provide weather protection, and the boat carries a fuel polishing system for fuel maintenance.
