2003 Meridian 490 Pilothouse

The 2003 Meridian 490 Pilothouse is a 49-foot fiberglass motor yacht built for extended cruising in the Pacific Northwest. Twin Cummins 370 HP diesel engines provide efficient, economical operation—at typical cruising speeds the boat burns roughly 3.5 gallons per hour. The hull and cored deck are fiberglass, with a 15-foot beam and substantial fuel capacity of 444 gallons, supporting long-range passages.

The interior is finished in warm cherry wood and arranged as a three-cabin, two-head layout. The main salon spans the hull width with large windows throughout and excellent sight lines forward. A spacious galley sits forward on the port side with teak and holly flooring, double sinks, a three-burner electric stove with oven, and a NorCold refrigerator and freezer. The owner's suite forward features an island bed with steps on both sides, opening ports, an overhead hatch, and an ensuite head with shower and tub. A guest stateroom on the lower deck includes a double berth and dedicated head with shower stall; a third cabin forward can serve as additional guest berths or sitting room. A Splendide washer-dryer is located on the lower deck.

The pilothouse sits elevated with a central helm station fitted with a Raymarine R760 chart plotter, ST6001+ autopilot, VHF radio, and radar. Dual Raymarine depthsounders, GPS, and compass systems support navigation. Bow and stern thrusters provide maneuverability, as do 2-station Hydraulic controls. An upper deck and enclosed aft cockpit with removable canvas offer exterior entertaining spaces, while a motorized davit handles a tender. A 2024 Stryker RIB360 aluminum tender with 25 HP Yamaha outboard is included.

Recent maintenance includes a haul-out, anti-fouling, and zinc replacement in late 2025, fresh house batteries installed in June 2025, and a new stern thruster in 2025. Engine hours are approximately 3,116 and 3,117 respectively. The boat is equipped with a 10.5 kW Onan generator, Espar diesel heating, triple 30-amp shore power, and comprehensive bilge and safety systems.
