2003 Monterey 282 Cruiser

The Monterey 282 Cruiser is a 28-foot fiberglass cruiser with a rakish profile and a 10-foot beam that provides generous interior space. It features a deep-V hull design paired with twin Mercruiser 5.0 inboard/outboard stern drives with Bravo 3 drives, delivering solid handling and performance. The wide cockpit is well-suited for entertaining and includes a foredeck sunpad, full canvas package, molded-in wetbar with stainless grabrail, and a convenient removable cooler. The walk-through windshield with molded steps is a Monterey signature detail.

Below deck, an open galley offers ample counter and storage space with AC/DC refrigeration, stove, built-in coffee maker, and a stainless-steel sink with faucet. The boat sleeps multiple guests across a forward berth, midcabin with twin facing bench seats that convert to a full double sleeper, and a separate dinette area. A private enclosed head includes a standup shower with curtain, sink with faucet, marine head with shower seat, and vanity storage.

Recent work includes new engine longblocks fitted with all new internal components—alternator, starter, oil pump, sensors, caps, rotors, plugs, injectors, belts, and pulleys. New batteries, canvas, and isinglass have been installed. The cooling system is closed with antifreeze, and a brand-new second-generation fuel system with new couplers has been fitted. Trim motors are new. The boat carries dual 70-gallon fuel tanks, a fresh water tank, and a waste tank. Lowrance electronics are aboard. A 33-foot Venture triple-axle aluminum trailer is available with the boat.
