This 2003 Monterey 302 Cruiser is a 30-foot express boat built on a solid fiberglass deep-V hull with moderate beam and reverse chines designed to reduce spray. Twin MerCruiser sterndrives deliver 260 horsepower each, with cruising capability around 25 knots and a top speed approaching 40 knots. The boat handles well in a range of conditions and offers good performance for a family cruiser.
The cabin layout centers on two staterooms and one head. The aft stateroom is fully enclosed with a solid bulkhead and cabin door rather than open to the salon, providing genuine privacy. The galley and salon occupy the forward cabin space. Topside, the helm features a double-wide companion seat with reversible backrest, while the cockpit includes a wet bar, removable transom bench seat, and an extended swim platform. Additional deck features are a reverse arch, foredeck sun pad, transom storage locker, removable cockpit table, and tilt steering. Side decks are narrow; the foredeck is accessed via a walk-through windshield.
The engines were rebuilt in 2017 as twin MerCruiser V8 5.0L MPI units and have only 376 hours of running time. Lower units and bellows were renewed in 2022. The boat is equipped with a Garmin Clear Vu GPS, depth finder, compass, electric windlass, air conditioning and heating, and a Kohler 5 kW generator. A bimini top is fitted. The boat is currently stored on a rack.
