The 2003 Nautor Swan 56 R is a 57-foot fiberglass cruising yacht designed by German Frers. With a beam of 15.5 feet and a displacement of 22 metric tons, the boat combines classic Swan proportions with refined sea-keeping characteristics. Power comes from a single Yanmar 100 hp engine, delivering a maximum speed of 9 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 5 knots. The teak deck and GRP hull and superstructure are built to Swan's established standards.
The yacht accommodates two cabins and two heads. The galley features a four-ring gas cooktop, stainless steel sink, and two fridges. Navigation and communication systems include a B&G chartplotter suite with radar, dual Zeus multifunction displays, VHF radio, and a handheld satellite phone. The yacht is equipped with a 12.5 kW Westerbeke generator, Victron 24V 400 Ah lithium battery bank with quattro charger/inverter, and a Rainman 88 water maker.
Recent upgrades and maintenance include a three-year-old air conditioning system, a one-year-old rudder stock, new boom cover and spray dodgers with Sunbrella fabric, and new rod rigging installed in November 2022. The mast has remained in place since the rigging replacement. All running rigging has been replaced within the last three years. An Ocean Compact 12-man liferaft with hydrostatic release and fire safety equipment are onboard. Fuel capacity is 106 US gallons, fresh water 225 US gallons.
The sail inventory includes a brand new Hydranet mainsail, a two-year-old Dacron J1, and multiple additional sails in good to reasonable condition. Haken winches, spinnaker pole, and new enepack mast jacks complete the deck equipment.
