2003 Ocean Alexander 64 Pilothouse

This 2003 Ocean Alexander 64 Pilothouse is a fiberglass-hulled cruising yacht powered by twin Caterpillar 3406E diesel engines producing 800 horsepower each. The boat reaches a maximum speed of 21 knots and cruises comfortably at 18 knots. At 64 feet in length with a 17.5-foot beam, the design by Ed Monk Jr. features a cockpit pilothouse layout with an extended 70-foot overall length compared to the smaller 610 series variant. The yacht is equipped with a factory hardtop on the flybridge, an updated enclosed flybridge with bypass panels, and hydraulic fin stabilization. Bow and stern thrusters provide precise maneuvering in tight quarters.

The interior showcases bird's-eye maple, teak, and burl wood cabinetry throughout. Three staterooms include a centerline queen berth in the master suite amidship with an ensuite head featuring marble counters and a large shower. Two guest cabins forward share a head with a stall shower; the VIP stateroom has a centerline queen, and a third stateroom to port has side-by-side twin berths. The galley sits adjacent to the pilothouse with granite countertops, marble flooring, full-sized household appliances including a 22-cubic-foot refrigerator-freezer, four-burner stove, oven, and dishwasher.

The electronics suite is comprehensive, with a new 24-inch Garmin touch-screen display with radar and sounder on the flybridge, a 17-inch Garmin system in the pilothouse, dual Raymarine autopilots, SSB and VHF radios, and engine displays. Electrical infrastructure includes 12-kilowatt and 20-kilowatt Northern Lights generators, 50-amp shore power connections at bow and stern, a 2500-watt inverter, and separate battery banks for starting and house power.

Recent work includes injectors replaced in 2021, heat exchangers serviced in 2021, new teak decking, new bottom paint and shaft seals, new interior carpet, and dual Racor fuel-water separators. The yacht includes a 2002 Novurania 12-foot center console RIB tender with a 40-horsepower Yamaha engine and a hydraulic davit system for launching.
