2003 Symbol 56

The Symbol 56 is a pilothouse cruiser built on a low-deadrise fiberglass hull with a 17-foot, 6-inch beam and deep prop pockets designed to reduce draft. Three Caterpillar 700 hp diesel engines power the yacht, delivering cruising speeds of 17–18 knots with a top speed of 20 knots. The boat features a Naiad MultiSea II stabilization system, dual bow and stern thrusters, and comprehensive navigation electronics including dual Raymarine E-120 plotters with AIS, HD radar, and a Simrad autopilot. A 16 kW Northern Lights generator provides electrical power to the 12 and 24 volt systems.

The interior layout was customized to create a full-beam master stateroom with a washer and dryer installed in cabins, along with a separate guest cabin featuring a queen berth and private head access. The main saloon offers an L-shaped settee and entertainment center, with the galley and dining area positioned in the pilothouse. Both staterooms have ensuite heads with showers, teak and holly flooring, and quality furnishings throughout. The galley is equipped with Sub-Zero refrigeration, a Dacor convection microwave, Kenyon cooktop, Fisher & Paykel dishwasher drawer, and ample storage for extended cruising.

The yacht's main deck includes a flybridge with helm station and lounge seating, a sheltered cockpit, wide side decks, and an integrated swim platform. Exterior features include a Bimini top, hinged radar arch, 800-pound davit, and transom shower. An 2011 AB Rib tender with 20 hp outboard is included. The engines have 2,100 hours with turbos rebuilt at the 2,000-hour service mark, and interior soft goods and carpet were refreshed in 2012.
