The 2003 Tiara 3100 Open is a 31-foot fiberglass sportfisher built to deliver substantial capability in a manageable size. Twin Cummins diesel engines producing 770 horsepower drive the boat to a maximum speed of 33 knots, with a cruising speed of 28 knots. The 12-foot beam provides a stable platform, and the open cockpit spans 12 feet with port and starboard boarding steps and diamond-pattern nonskid decking running bow to stern.
The helm sits in a one-piece molded fiberglass station that tilts back for full access to instruments and electronics. The dashboard provides over two feet of additional space for optional equipment. Standard instrumentation includes VDO BlueLine gauges, Teleflex hydraulic steering, and Morse throttles and shifters. Controls and switches are grouped logically for straightforward operation.
Below deck, the starboard settee and dinette convert to a seven-foot double berth. The galley is fitted with a microwave, two-burner ceramic stove, refrigerator, and sink. Forward, a double berth includes a filler cushion and three storage bins beneath, plus a hanging locker. The portside head features a stand-up shower, sink, vanity, portlight, and one-piece molded fiberglass liner for easy cleaning. Wood detailing throughout the interior combines practical function with traditional styling.
