2003 Tiara Yachts 5000 Open

This 2003 Tiara Yachts 5000 Open is the first hull of only seven ever built. The 50-foot fiberglass cruiser sits on a 15.75-foot beam and is powered by twin CAT 3406E diesel engines rated at 800 horsepower each, with approximately 1,400 hours on the engines. The boat cruises at 22 knots and has been operated exclusively in freshwater.

The interior showcases exceptional cherry woodwork throughout, with curved panels, trim, and doors executed at the highest level. Solid cherry plank flooring runs through the salon and cabins, while the upper cockpit features custom teak planking. The layout sleeps seven: a master stateroom, a guest stateroom with three berths (including a custom-built upper bunk), and a salon table that converts to sleeping berths for two. The galley is equipped with a large Sub Zero 700 refrigerator and two freezer drawers—among the largest found on boats under 65 feet. The boat has never been smoked in.

Recent mechanical and systems work is extensive and documented. New canvas with bonded polycarbonate and Sunbrella was installed in 2025, along with two new Dometic air conditioning systems for the salon and master. The engines received new injectors (starboard in 2025, port in 2021), the port engine ECM was replaced in 2022, and both block heater elements were replaced in 2021. The VacuFlush heads were fully rebuilt with new lines, bellows, seals, motors, and pumps. New gel house batteries were installed in 2025, and water intake hoses and exhaust hoses were replaced in 2025. GlenDinning electronic controls feature a new EEC3 system from 2018 with an updated electronics board from 2024.

The spacious upper cockpit features a full-beam swim platform measuring 60 inches deep and capable of supporting tenders or jet skis up to 1,000 pounds. It includes a fold-down aft seat for three and a three-person aft-facing seat. A comprehensive audio system with Fusion and JL Audio components and multiple speakers throughout complements the original Furuno electronics, which remain fully functional. Onboard power connections at the bow support both 30 and 50 amp service.
