The 2003 World Cat 270 EC is a 28-foot fiberglass sportfish boat powered by twin Yamaha 450-horsepower engines. Built on semi-displacement hulls, the 270 EC handles offshore conditions while remaining trailerable. The boat reaches a top speed of approximately 40 knots and carries 200 gallons of fuel and 32 gallons of water.
The cockpit is purpose-built for fishing, with a 300-quart insulated fish box, 27-gallon lighted livewell, gunnel rod holders, fresh and raw-water washdowns, and removable tackle storage. Two helm chairs sit atop aft-facing jump seats with built-in coolers, and a recessed toe rail runs both sides of the cockpit for safety. The hardtop includes rod holders and a radio box. Additional cockpit features include a dive ladder, anchor windlass, and a folding rear bench seat. The walk-through transom has a center swim platform with boarding ladder.
The cabin provides six feet of headroom and includes a queen-sized berth, electric head with porcelain pump-out, galley cabinet with sink, and ample storage for gear and rods. Two opening cabin ports provide ventilation. Tilt steering and cockpit lights complete the layout.
The engines have approximately 1,200 total hours. A 100-hour service was recently completed. The boat is equipped with Garmin electronics and a new Fusion radio.
