The 2001 Boston Whaler 28 Outrage is a center console sportfisher with a deep-V fiberglass hull built for saltwater fishing and cruising. Twin 2011 Mercury Verado 300 hp outboard engines with approximately 800 hours power the boat, paired with stainless steel three-blade propellers. The boat runs on electronic throttles and features power steering, recessed Bennett trim tabs, and an electric windlass for anchoring.
The cabin sleeps two in a V-berth forward, with a small galley and enclosed head with vacuum flush toilet. Marine air conditioning keeps the cabin comfortable. The electronics suite consists of dual Simrad units with GPS, chart plotter, radar, fish finder, depth sounder, and VHF radio. A 5 kW Kohler marine generator provides auxiliary power; note that the generator starter solenoid requires replacement.
The boat includes a hardtop with rocket launchers, a bait prep and tackle station with fresh water sink, and outriggers for trolling. The onboard electrical system comprises four marine batteries with three battery switches and an onboard charger; two of the batteries are new as of June 2026. Shore power connection (30 amp) is installed. The boat was mechanically serviced and detailed in February 2026, and engine cowlings have been repainted.
