The 2004 Beneteau First 40.7 is a 40-foot performance cruiser-racer built on a fiberglass hull designed by Farr Yacht Design. The boat features a fractional sloop rig, wheel steering, and a Volvo Penta 40 hp diesel inboard engine. Its ballasted keel and responsive hull make it equally suited to coastal cruising and offshore sailing, with excellent performance across a range of wind conditions. The deck layout includes wide side decks, a self-bailing cockpit optimized for short-handed sailing, an anchor locker, and a swim ladder.
Interior accommodation is arranged in a typical 2 to 3 cabin layout with an L-shaped galley, navigation station, and large saloon. The saloon was recently updated with two new opening hatches that replaced the original fixed windows. Lewmar deck hatches were upgraded from low-profile to medium-profile configuration for improved durability. These features enhance both living comfort and ventilation below deck.
Recent maintenance includes replacement of almost all running rigging with Dyneema line. The boat comes equipped with a full tool kit, spare parts, and cooking utensils. Standard specifications show fuel capacity around 135 litres, fresh water capacity around 300 litres, and displacement of approximately 7.2 tonnes with 2.6 tonnes of ballast.
