2004 Beneteau Oceanis 42CC
About This Yacht
The Beneteau Oceanis 42CC is a centre cockpit cruising yacht from 2004, designed by Group Finot with a fin keel and displacement hull. Built in France as part of this popular production line, the boat features a blue GRP hull with full teak decks, wheel steering, and cast iron keel. A 55 hp Volvo Penta D2-55 diesel engine with shaft drive powers the yacht.
The layout comprises two cabins—a double master aft and a double forward to starboard—with two manual Jabsco heads. The saloon is spacious with a linear galley finished in white surfaces and dark wood joinery throughout. The boat is rigged as a cutter with standing rigging, mainsail, genoa, and cutter sails (all original and serviceable). Winches include two Lewmar Ocean 46 primaries and two powered Lewmar Ocean 16 secondaries. A Leroy Sommer electric windlass handles 50 metres of 10mm chain with a 25kg Delta anchor.
Recent additions enhance comfort and functionality: a new lazy bag was installed in December 2021, along with a new canvas dodger. Solar panels were fitted in 2021 with a new solar arch added in 2025. Permanently mounted sunshades installed in 2025 extend from the mast to the solar arch, covering the full cockpit and deck area. The 24-volt house batteries are new as of 2021. The engine received full service in 2024.
