Misteri is a 2004 Bruce Roberts Coast 34 Pilothouse, a rare cruising design by naval architect Graham Shannon based on the proven Roberts 34 hull. Built in the Lower Mainland and finished in the Comox Valley, she was conceived for offshore passagemaking and combines a distinctive pilothouse profile with practical layout and strong seaworthiness. Her double-spreader mast, inboard shroud configuration, and robust chainplate design support excellent windward performance while maintaining structural integrity.
The boat is powered by a recently installed Beta Marine 25hp diesel engine, flex-coupled to a stainless shaft and three-blade Campbell Sailor propeller. She carries a 50-gallon fuel tank and dual stainless water tanks, with extensive solar capability fitted to support extended cruising. Cruising speed is 6 knots.
Below deck, warm birch paneling with edge-grain fir cabinetry defines the interior. The layout includes a forward V-berth with convertible double arrangement, a spacious salon with convertible sea berth and watertight storage, a fully enclosed head with shower and holding tank with macerator, a pilothouse dinette that converts to a double berth, a dedicated navigation station, and a well-equipped galley with Force 10 stove and oven, fridge/freezer, and deep stainless sink. A Dickenson Alaskan diesel heater supports year-round comfort. Multiple watertight compartments, easy-access engine spaces, and integrated workshop storage reflect careful engineering throughout. A hard bimini with twin 80W solar panels and updated side curtains are fitted.
The sail inventory comprises a 140% Dacron deck sweeper in excellent condition, a 110% Kevlar headsail with minimal use, a working jib, full-batten mainsail, and spinnaker with downwind poles.
