2004 C&C 121

This 2004 C&C 121 is a Tim Jackett-designed performance cruiser-racer that balances competitive sailing DNA with genuine cruising comfort. Built with composite construction—E-glass and Kevlar reinforcement, vinylester resin, and Core-Cell foam core—the hull is light and stiff. The design features a bulb keel and spade rudder paired with a powerful sail plan and clean deck layout, with control lines led aft to keep the working area uncluttered. A 52-inch wheel gives commanding helm control, and the large, ergonomic cockpit suits both racing and performance cruising. The Volvo MD2040 38 HP diesel saildrive engine (1,674 hours) provides reliable propulsion.

The sail inventory has been substantially refreshed with a new 2025 Carbon X-Drive mainsail (approximately 511 sq. ft., full-batten with dual reefs) and a new 2025 A2 asymmetrical spinnaker (approximately 1,280 sq. ft.). A 2020 Carbon X-Drive genoa with partial taffeta rounds out the wardrobe. The electronics suite is modern and networked: Raymarine Zeus3S MFDs, Triton2 instruments on an NMEA 2000 backbone, NAC autopilot core, Precision-9 compass, Halo20+ radar, and AIS integration.

Below deck, the interior is bright and thoughtfully finished with satin-varnished cherry joinery, cream gelcoat, off-white Ultraleather cushions, and a teak-and-holly cabin sole. The two-cabin, one-head layout comprises a forward berth, main saloon with forward-facing navigation station, U-shaped galley, aft cabin, and a head with separate stall shower. Systems include a Fisher Panda 4.5 kW generator (477 hours), Dometic reverse-cycle air conditioning and heat, three Lifeline 255 Ah AGM house batteries (2017), Magnum Energy sine wave inverter-charger with digital battery monitor, and an Optima AGM starter battery. Recent work includes saildrive seal replacement and a new electric windlass motor (2016). Dodger and bimini are from 2016, and a custom canvas winter cover is included.
