2004 Chaparral Signature 270

This 2004 Chaparral Signature 270 is a 29-foot fiberglass cruiser powered by twin Volvo Penta engines totaling 380 horsepower. The boat reaches a maximum speed of 44 mph and cruises comfortably at 25 mph. Its wide-body Extended V-Plane hull design provides predictable handling across varying water conditions, while the elongated bottom creates extra headroom, legroom, and storage throughout the interior. The engine compartment is accessed via a single hinged hatch, well-supported and easy to service. The bilge features a gelcoat finish for simple maintenance, loom-wrap wiring, and additional storage space.

The helm uses a platinum or champagne-colored finish to minimize glare on the water. Interior updates include new V-berth cushioning and upholstery, custom bow cushions, and an Orthodeck surface. The boat comes equipped with a camper top manufactured in 2018 and a mooring cover.

Over the past six years, the boat has received substantial mechanical attention. The port engine was re-powered in 2021, bellows were replaced on both sides in 2025, and water pumps on both sides were serviced in 2025. Three new batteries were installed in 2024, fuel pumps were renewed in 2024 and 2025, and the port outdrive was re-sealed in 2024. The steering actuator and power steering pump were replaced in 2025. Additional work includes new isinglass on the camper top and side panels in 2023.
