The Cobalt 226 is a 22-foot fiberglass runabout built around a spacious transom activity platform, ideal for water sports and entertaining. A single MerCruiser 350 horsepower engine powers the boat.

The design emphasizes functional comfort and accessibility. The transom features an integrated ice chest, concealed boarding ladder, and walk-through entry to the cockpit, where a second ice chest and AM/FM digital cassette stereo are fitted. The helm station includes a leather tilt steering wheel, depth gauge, hour meter, and remote stereo control. The captain's chair is Cobalt's flip-lip design, allowing the driver to rise above the windshield line for better visibility.
