This 2004 Cruisers Yachts 280 CXi is a 28-foot fiberglass express cruiser built on a modified-V hull with a 10-foot beam. Twin Volvo Penta 4.3 GXI engines, each producing 225 horsepower, deliver fuel-injected, fresh water-cooled power through stern drive systems. The engines have logged 775 hours and feature stainless steel three-blade propellers. An electric windlass with 200 feet of all-chain rode and a Fireboy engine room fire suppression system are installed.
The open floorplan centers on a spacious main salon with the galley located forward. Sleeping accommodation includes a single berth forward and a convertible dinette that transforms into a double berth, suitable for children. A single head serves the interior. The helm features a double-wide seat with aft-facing cockpit settees, and a walk-through windshield with molded-in steps leads to the foredeck. The transom includes a door, swim platform, and concealed boarding ladder.
Electronics include a Garmin colour chartplotter with Pacific Northwest maps, a new Fusion stereo with Bluetooth remote and Sirius compatibility, a VHF radio with distress function, and a helm-controlled searchlight. Thirty-amp shore power with a 50-foot cord is fitted. An eight-foot aluminum Aqua Pro dinghy on Weaver davits and a 3.3 hp Mercury outboard are available separately. Recent upgrades include a Sunbrella canvas enclosure and new windows added in 2023, new Fusion stereo, diesel Espar heater, and full LED lighting throughout.
