This 90-foot aluminum catamaran was built by Bon Pelley Entreprises and began life as a Canadian fishing vessel designed for operation in the demanding waters off Newfoundland. The hull was converted to an explorer yacht in 2015 and further refined in 2020 for remote sea exploration and diving, with particular emphasis on efficiency, range, reliability, and low environmental impact. The beam of 30 feet provides substantial interior and deck space.
The catamaran accommodates six passengers and six crew across three cabins and four heads. An expansive aft deck serves multiple purposes: it provides generous storage for tenders and serves as a comfortable outdoor living area with convenient water access. The design prioritizes self-sufficiency, with all mechanical systems arranged for easy maintenance and duplication of critical machinery throughout.
Twin Cummins NTA855 diesel engines rated at 400 horsepower provide a cruising speed of 10 knots and a range extending to 6,000 nautical miles. The engines showed 2,300 hours at the time of the 2023 survey. The catamaran's construction and layout reflect a focus on dependable, long-range cruising capability in challenging conditions.
