2004 Dufour Dufour 40

This 2004 Dufour 40 is a three-cabin cruising sailboat built in fiberglass with a 1.65-meter draft. She is powered by a Volvo Penta D2-40 diesel engine with saildrive and a MaxProp three-blade feathering propeller installed in 2026. The boat carries a comprehensive suit of sails: a Banks Sails membrane mainsail from 2019, a Hydranet genoa from 2018, and a Laminate DCX 140% genoa from 2021, plus a storm jib and spinnaker with snuffer.

Below deck, the yacht accommodates three cabins. The forecabin features a full-size V-berth with an en-suite head. Two additional aft cabins provide further sleeping space, while a second full head and shower occupy the starboard side. The saloon is arranged with a U-shaped settee to port and an additional settee to starboard, reupholstered in 2025. A full-size navigation station faces forward on the starboard side, and an L-shaped galley sits to port.

Recent systems work includes new standing rigging installed in 2022, a Mastervolt Combimaster 12V/2000W 60A unit from 2022, fresh through-hull fittings from 2022, a new starting battery and alternator in 2025, and a new bank of six Victron service batteries in 2026. The engine saildrive was replaced in 2018. Additional onboard systems include Webasto cabin air heating, hot water, a refrigerator, and shore power connection.
