The Fountaine Pajot Lavezzi 40 is a fiberglass catamaran built in 2004, known for its light weight and balanced design. Twin Yanmar 3YM30 diesel engines of 29 hp each deliver a cruising speed of 6 knots and a maximum speed of 8 knots. The boat carries 250 liters of fuel and 550 liters of fresh water.
Accommodation comprises four double cabins and two heads, each with shower. The saloon features a U-shaped sofa seating six and a convertible dining table for eight. The galley is equipped with an Eno three-burner gas cooker and oven, a 130-liter fridge, icemaker, and double sink. Both heads include automatic toilets, sinks, and showers.
The boat is well-equipped for cruising and communication. Raymarine autopilot, wind, and depth instruments are paired with a Si-Tex chartplotter and Cobra VHF radio. Power comes from 500Ah AGM service batteries installed in 2021, complemented by 400-watt solar panels and a 150-liter watermaker. A 2.5 kW Sterling inverter and 60-amp charger support 220V shore power. A new Goiot electric windlass with remote control (motor replaced 2022) handles ground tackle—a 25-kg Rocna anchor. New standing rigging was installed in 2025; the main sail and batten were replaced in 2023 and the genoa in 2019.
The boat includes a new trampoline, Bimini with sprayhood, bathing platform with shower, and deck cushioning. A 3.1-meter aluminum RIB tender with a 6 hp Yamaha outboard (both recent), an inflatable kayak, and an SUP are included. High moisture readings have been detected in the hull structure.
