This 2004 Gloucester G-20 is a 20-foot center console built to yacht standards rarely seen in this class. Designed by Doug Zurn and originally built by Gloucester Boat Building Co., the boat was constructed using vinylester resin, CoreCell, Kevlar, and vacuum-bagged lamination techniques that set it apart from typical small center consoles.
The boat underwent a comprehensive multi-year restoration completed in 2021 at Boston Boat Works. This included a complete repaint of the hull and all topsides, a new custom fiberglass hardtop, and a new Strataglass t-top enclosure. The electronics suite was fully updated with a Raymarine Axiom 12 multifunction display, Quantum radar, Icom VHF radio, and 212 transducer. Power comes from a new Mercury 150 hp four-stroke outboard with stainless steel propeller and new controls and rigging.
Additional upgrades completed during the restoration encompass new Fusion audio with speakers, ZipWake automated trim tabs, new upholstery and covers, a Guest 10-amp battery charger, and a rooftop Solbian solar panel. The boat cruises comfortably in the mid-20s to 30 knots and runs smoothly through rough conditions thanks to the Zurn hull design.
A 2005 Road King galvanized tandem axle roller trailer, titled and roadworthy, is included.
