This 2004 Grand Banks 49 Eastbay HX is a fiberglass express cruiser powered by twin Cummins QSM-11 diesel engines rated at 660 hp each, with approximately 3,000 hours on the engines. The boat features a C. Raymond Hunt-designed deep-vee hull and classic Grand Banks styling with a low-profile pilothouse. The hull was painted with Imron in 2012 and maintains a traditional Downeast aesthetic combined with solid offshore performance characteristics.
The interior is arranged as a custom single stateroom layout with an expansive galley. Two heads serve the accommodations. The helm area features a custom teak table by Scopinich Marine Fabrication and Glendining electronic controls paired with Stidd 500 Series seats. All eisenglass has been replaced with EZ2CY bonded panels for improved visibility and durability.
Recent service work includes engine and genset maintenance completed in October 2024, servicing of engine and transmission coolers in March 2025, and bottom paint and zincs refreshed in July 2025. Running gear was painted in July 2025, and the Freedom boat lift was painted at the same time. The Fireboy fire suppression system was certified in July 2025. A custom cockpit awning provides shade and weather protection.
The boat is equipped with a 2018 Avon 12-foot RIB tender powered by a Yamaha 40 hp engine with approximately 30 hours of use. A liferaft is included with the sale, though it is not currently certified.
