The 2004 Grand Banks Eastbay 54 SX is a downeast cruiser built on a modified deep-V hull designed by C. Raymond Hunt. Twin Caterpillar diesel engines produce 1,600 horsepower, delivering a cruising speed of 26 knots and a maximum speed of 31 knots. The fiberglass hull spans 54 feet with a 16-foot beam, offering a capable platform for extended cruising with a range of approximately 399 nautical miles at cruise speed.
The interior layout includes two cabins and two heads, arranged around a fully enclosed express-style salon. The salon features 360-degree viewing through large windows and climate control. Throughout the yacht, Grand Banks hand-crafted teak workmanship is evident above and below decks. The wide open cockpit provides flexibility for various uses and seamless access to the salon.
The boat received new bottom paint with five coats of Interprotect 2000 primer and new bottom paint applied in October 2024. The hull and topside received new paint in December 2024. Trim tabs are installed for enhanced handling. The yacht is designated CE Design Category A and was originally owned by a collector with approximately 400 hours of engine time.
