The 2004 Hunt Surfhunter 25 is a classic New England-style downeast cruiser built on Hunt Yachts' signature Deep Vee hull. With a Volvo 5.7L 320-horsepower gas engine, Volvo DPS counterrotating outdrive, and a shallow draft design, the boat combines responsive handling with a stable, comfortable ride across a range of sea conditions. The composite construction features hand-laid solid E-glass bottom laminate, foam-cored topsides with vinylester osmosis barrier, and a molded interior—all finished in Flag Blue gelcoat with white deck and teak accents throughout.
The cockpit follows traditional cuddy-cabin layout with forward helm and navigator pedestal seats, a cushioned engine box, and a full-width transom settee. A Stamoid bimini top with Eisenglass panels provides weather protection. Below deck, a compact cabin sleeps two in a V-berth with storage, and includes a stainless steel sink with pressure water, manual-flush head with holding tank, and ventilation through an overhead hatch. Navigation and entertainment include a Garmin chartplotter, Icom VHF radio, and AM/FM stereo systems.
The boat shows 405 engine hours as of August 2025. Recent mechanical work includes a new outdrive, fuel tank, engine manifolds and risers installed within the past year. The canvas and cushions have been recently cleaned. Two automatic bilge pumps, a Side Power bow thruster, and a full suite of through-hull equipment round out the machinery. The teak swim platform, stainless steel hardware throughout, and 210-amp-hour battery bank with 10-amp charger complete the package.
