The Hunter 426 is a 42-foot fiberglass cruising sloop built in 2004, designed by Glenn Henderson. This Owners Version features a deck salon layout and is powered by a Yanmar 4JH5E diesel engine producing 56 horsepower, with shaft drive and a Sleipner bow thruster. The hull incorporates Kevlar laminate from stern to keel sump for collision protection, and is fitted with antimony lead keels secured by stainless steel bolts.
Accommodation comprises two cabins sleeping four guests, with two newly installed electric heads and showers. The layout is designed for extended cruising, offering generous proportions and logical arrangement throughout. The yacht carries CE Certification Category A, qualifying her for offshore passages.
This Hunter has received substantial recent investment. A major systems refit exceeding €40,000 was completed in 2023 following a full survey, including anti-osmosis treatment and updated antifouling in 2025. New sails—triradial Genoa and mainsail with roller furling—were installed in 2023, with the previous suit still serviceable. Standing and running rigging were replaced in 2023 and 2024 respectively. A new WinchRite cordless electric winch system supports short-handed sailing. Navigation electronics include a Raymarine E125 hybrid touchscreen plotter, Raymarine autopilot updated in 2024, Raymarine echosounder, and Icom VHF with DSC. The yacht features new batteries, new inverter, A/C infrastructure with compressor, wind and speed instruments, bimini and sprayhood with new frame, cockpit side shadow covers, and an inflatable dinghy with new outboard.
