This 2004 Island Packet 485 is a 48-foot fiberglass sailing yacht powered by a Yanmar 100 hp turbo diesel engine. The boat underwent an extensive refit between 2022 and 2023 that included new standing and running rigging, chainplates, and sails. A custom hardtop with full enclosure was added, along with a refinished toe rail and repainted nonskid deck. The stainless steel Kato arch integrates solar panels and a davit system.
Below deck, the yacht features three cabins including two staterooms and an office with convertible bunk, plus two heads with a new Tecma electric toilet in the owner's suite. The salon has panoramic windows, and the galley includes premium refrigeration and custom cabinetry with high-end wood joinery. A bright, well-appointed interior supports extended cruising and liveaboard use.
Systems throughout the yacht are modern and comprehensive. Navigation and autopilot capabilities include a new Raymarine radar and i70 display installed in 2024, dual autopilots (Raymarine EV400 and Jefa 200nm), and SeaTalkNG integration. Power management features a Victron 3000 Multiplus inverter/charger, a Northern Lights 8kW generator, and a new Spectra Newport 400CC watermaker. A MaxProp 4-blade feathering propeller aids efficiency, and the rudder shoe was replaced with upgraded fasteners during the refit. All sanitation hoses and the hot water heater were renewed, and the engine received professional service in 2023.
Deck equipment includes 300 feet of anchor chain with 25 feet of rode, a new deck wash pump, and a hot and cold transom shower. A Caribe 10-foot RIB tender with a 2022 15 hp Yamaha outboard is included.
