2004 J Boats J/109

This 2004 J/109 is a 35-foot fiberglass racing and cruising sailboat powered by a 27-horsepower Yammer diesel engine. The boat has been extensively upgraded and refined for performance, with work undertaken by Nelson Marek Yacht Design, North Sails, and specialist builder Dennis Choate. Notable modifications include a new deeper one-design keel, optimized keel and rudder fairing, custom kelp cutters and sail drive deflector, and a freshly sealed sail drive shaft. The hull bottom has been faired, epoxied, polished, and sprayed with two-part white epoxy, then wet-sanded and burnished to a high-gloss finish. The deck carries new Awlgrip paint, and the mast and boom are finished in black satin Awlgrip.

Rigging updates include newer rod standing rigging with chrome-bronze turnbuckles, Dynema backstay, custom Dynema running rigging and main halyard, and a Harken hydraulic backstay adjuster operated by remote panel. The boat carries newer Harken self-tailing primary winches, Harken Carbo Foil for headsails, and an extensive North Sails inventory. Stainless steel details include a polished racing bow pulpit, 1x19 lifelines with custom pads, and a custom helm wheel finished in gloss black Awlgrip with neoprene grip.

The interior features two cabins and one head, with cherry wood trim, dinette, full galley, and navigation station. All interior cushions are new. The boat is equipped with a retractable Dynema sprit strap.
